Centiglobe, a Swedish fintech specialising in blockchain-based cross-border payment solutions, has announced a strategic collaboration with Mastercard Move, Mastercard’s global money movement portfolio. This partnership will streamline cross-border transactions for banks and payment service providers (PSPs), offering near real-time payment processing through a single integration.

The integration allows Centiglobe’s network of regulated banks and PSPs to access Mastercard Move’s extensive payment solutions without requiring multiple technical integrations. This reduces operational complexity and accelerates the deployment of efficient cross-border payment services.

Petter Sandgren, CEO of Centiglobe, states: “By integrating with Mastercard Move, we are enabling our members and their customers to expand their reach and access to global payments while jointly working with Mastercard to drive new growth opportunities. By leveraging our collaboration, a local payment provider can, for example, facilitate an international payment in near real-time without additional integrations.”

Expanding access to Mastercard Move’s global network

Mastercard Move provides fast and secure domestic and international money transfer solutions, covering over 180 countries and 150+ currencies. Its network reaches more than 95% of the world’s banked population, making it a powerful tool for financial institutions looking to enhance their cross-border payment capabilities.

Pratik Khowala, Global Head of Transfer Solutions at Mastercard, comments:

“At Mastercard, we are committed to enabling fast, secure, and accessible cross-border transactions for businesses and people. Our collaboration with Centiglobe provides a broader range of banks and payment service providers with seamless access to Mastercard Move, thereby extending the benefits of enhanced payment connectivity to even more businesses and consumers around the world.”
